arat Arba’een can be divided into parts as outlined below:

1. Like other Ziarats, Ziarat Arbaeen starts with greeting Imam Hussein (A.S) and then describing his various titles, such as Seyyedo Shohada and each one of these titles describes a special dimension of Imam’s personality.
2. In this part, the special divine honours given to Imam Hussein (A.S) as a result of his martyrdom in Karbala are mentioned; such as, he is one of the leaders of the religion, a defender of the justice and successor of the prophets as well as a divine proof.

The Ahl-ul-Bayt (A.S) have been living embodiment of tawheed (belief in the oneness of God). Their every moment of life has been in accordance to the will of Allah (swt). This fact is very much evident in the whole tragic event of Karbala. In Mecca while at Mount Arafat, Imam Hussein’s (A.S) love and servitude for Allah (swt) became apparent in the famed Dua of Arafat. This prayer our Imam recited on the day of Arafa and it is a lesson for all those who want to understand what tawheed is. Imam’s (A.S) statement in the prayer that “blind be the eye that cannot see You watching it” signifies his most elevated sense of Allah’s (swt) presence at every place and time.

British Muslim women who wear the hijab feel generally better about their body image than those who don’t wear the hijab.
The research, conducted by Dr Viren Swami from the University of Westminster and colleagues looked at body image issues amongst British Muslim women.

Dr Swami explained: “In the West anxiety about body image, for women, is so prevalent it’s considered normal. This study aimed to explore how these attitudes differ within a British Muslim community.”

What approach and attitude is adopted by the Nahj al-balaghah towards worship? The Nahj al-balaghah takes an enlightened view of worship, or rather, it is, after the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the main source of inspiration towards the enlightened approach to worship in the Islamic tradition.
As we know, of the most sublime and imaginative themes of Islamic literature, both Arabic and Persian, is relationship between the ardent love of the devotee for the Divine Essence expressed in delicate and elegant passages in the form of sermons, prayers, allegories, parables, both in prose and verse.

This paper is the first part of a series of three papers on the subject, initially conceived as part of a series of lectures delivered by the author in London, at the Islamic Centre of England in Muharram 1433/November and December 2011, entitled, "Spiritual Struggle of Karbala."
Abstract
Although there are similarities between all members of Ahl-ul- Bayt and they are from the same light, there is a special link between Imam Hussein (A.S) and Imam Mahdi (A.S). In this paper, verses from the Qur'an and hadiths of the Ahl-ul-Bayt will be used to demonstrate this connection.
Indeed, Imam Mahdi (A.S) is from the progeny of Imam Hussein (A.S) who will rise on the Day of Ashura and will speak of his grandfather's oppression. Imam Hussein (A.S) also spoke of Imam Mahdi avenging for him, and helping Imam Hussein (A.S) is similar to helping Imam Mahdi. Moreover, one of the best deeds on the birth of Imam Mahdi (A.S) is to recite Ziyarah of Imam Hussein (A.S), as renewing one's allegiance with Imam Hussein (A.S) is renewing it with Imam Mahdi.

In the same sermon are explained the various spiritual states and levels attained by the worshippers in the course of their devotional search. Imam Ali (A.S) describes such men in these words: The angels have surrounded them and peace is showered upon them. The doors of heavens are opened for them and abodes of blessedness, of which He had informed them, have been prepared for them. He is pleased with their struggle and admires their station. When they call Him, they breathe the scent of His forgiveness and mercy.5

The 29th International Islamic Unity Conference was held in Tehran on December 27-29, 2015. Like the previous 28 conferences, the 29th conference was held concurrent with the birth anniversary of the Prophet (PBUH) of Islam. In its current year summit, the international conference focused on the theme of “Present Islamic World Crisis”, something that the Supreme Leader in his recent remarks has clarified as “big troubles for Muslim Umma” and “first priority for Muslims” for repeated times. He has introduced the factors creating crises (crisis-generating factors) and the factors for terminating crisis (crisis overcoming factors). This paper is a synopsis of his most recent viewpoints expressed from January 2014 through January 2015.

In Religion

Number Forty is a special number in the religious and Islamic culture.

The significance of the age of forty is undeniable, as Prophet Muhammad said, “When one gets forty God tells his two guardian angels, ‘From now on, be strict on him and note every small and big deed he does.’”‌ This shows that one’s personality is formed before he becomes forty years old and every inner change will become harder after that.

In Mysticism

Muslim scholars, especially mystics, consider forty as a significant number in the fields of self-purification, finding one’s talents, and reaching moral heights.
